It runs on 3 CR 123 lithium batteries included. The batteries will last 5+ hours. This light can also be mounted to any rifle with picatinny rail. You need to purchase a weapons mount or use a 1" scope ring to mount the flashlight to a weapon. You can also use the light as a hand-held unit. This light is perfect for outdoors man who needs a light to walk through the woods without the animals seeing you. You could also use to see small game in the dark. Watch the red light reflect off their eyes without them seeing you. Animals cannot see red light. This light uses a red LED, and not a filter like most red lights. This red light is bright.
